Let
some good Ol' Southern Hospitality set the stage for your dream vacation
before you ever leave home. No need to pack up the whole house; just the
bare necessities (clothes and personal articles); everything else you need
will be provided. Because it is important that all my guests feel
special during their stay, you will be greeted upon arrival with a few,
personal touches that say "Welcome, I'm glad you're here!" Once you've settled in, catch your breath and exit out of the fast lane - "You're on Tybee Time." You may want to mosey on down to the Tybee Market IGA (fondly referred to as "The Pantry" by the Eleventh Place residents due to its proximity to the neighborhood). May I suggest that you consciously slow down the pace and take in a deep breath of fresh, salt air. Experience the delightful sights, sounds and flavor of this tiny, laid-back island. A quick trip to the Tybee Island Visitor's Center will give you an abundance of local information that will help point you and your family in the right direction. |

Be
sure to take advantage of the endless recreational opportunities that
await you. Go on a leisurely bicycle ride on the beach or explore the
entire island. Challenge yourself to a
friendly game of tennis at the nearby Memorial Park (Four tennis rackets
and balls provided, of course). Have some fun in the sun. Go body
surfing and then soak up some rays. Catch a cool wave on a boogie board
and ride it all the way in. Take a long, leisurely stroll along the
water's edge, then top it off with a refreshing snowball from Seaweeds.
Relax under the shade of the beach umbrella with a good book from the
stash at the house, or visit the public library, just blocks away, to pick up
your own favorites. For your convenience, beach chairs, beach towels, beach umbrellas, beach toys, and coolers will all be provided . When you're good and tuckered out, go ahead and take a nap. There's a hammock under some shady trees waiting out back for you. Or maybe you'd prefer to chill out on the porch swing with a cool glass of lemonade. It is my sincere desire to make your beach vacation as restful and as fun filled as possible. As you might have guessed by now, I consider it a personal challenge to ensure that all guests who stay at Tybee Straits leave feeling "Relaxed, Refreshed and "Renewed in Spirit". Ya'll hurry back! |
